Location
Wootton Rivers is positioned midway between Bath in the West and Reading in the East. Swindon is approximately 18 miles to the north and Salisbury 25 miles to the south. There are good road connections with junctions 14 and 15 of the M4 and the A303 all within 25 minutes drive.
Directions
By car from M4 junction 15 (from Swindon and the west)
Take the A346 south to Marlborough and continue on that road, signposted to Cadley, Burbage and Salisbury. The road takes you through Savernake Forest. Shortly after driving through Cadley take a right turn, signposted Wootton Rivers and Brimslade. After about 2 miles you reach the village of Wootton Rivers. At the centre of the village you will see The Royal Oak on your left. Turn into the pub car park and The Finches is situated directly behind the pub.
By car from M4 junction 14 (from London and the east)
Take the A338 south to Hungerford. At the mini roundabout turn right onto the A4 and shortly afterward turn left at The Bear Hotel and on through Hungerford High Street. Continue on the A338 for approx. 8 miles, signposted to Salisbury. At the roundabout at Burbage continue on to the A346 to Marlborough, across the railway and canal bridges and up the hill into Savernake Forest. Shortly after reaching the top of the hill take a left turn, signposted Wootton Rivers and Brimslade. After about 2 miles you reach the village of Wootton Rivers. At the centre of the village you will see The Royal Oak on your left. Turn into the pub car park and The Finches is situated directly behind the pub.
By car from the south
Follow the A338 from Salisbury through Tidworth and on to Burbage. At the roundabout at Burbage continue on to the A346 to Marlborough, across the railway and canal bridges and up the hill into Savernake Forest. Shortly after reaching the top of the hill take a left turn, signposted Wootton Rivers and Brimslade. After about 2 miles you reach the village of Wootton Rivers. At the centre of the village you will see The Royal Oak on your left. Turn into the pub car park and The Finches is situated directly behind the pub.
On arrival at The Finches
Proceed through the gateway onto our drive and pause there. Walk through the pedestrian gate on your left marked B & B and ring the bell, where we will greet you and your luggage can be unloaded. You can then drive the car round to the rear of the house where there is ample free parking and turning space available.

Please note satellite navigation will get you to the centre of Wootton Rivers but not to the house itself.
By train
Pewsey Station (1 hour to London Paddington) is a 10 minute drive away, and Bedwyn Station (with a more frequent train service to Paddington) is a little further at about 15 minutes.
For guests arriving by train, transport can be arranged from the station to Wootton Rivers by prior arrangement.
Airports
London Heathrow is about one and a quarter hours drive.
Gatwick is about one and three quarter hours drive.
Bristol is about one and a half hours drive.
Bournemouth and Southampton are about one and a quarter hours drive away.
